ARDPA - Course of Specialization in Agricultural and Rural Development Policies Analysis in the Western Balkan Countries

Admission

The deadline for the application is May 23rd 2008.

Requirements

The candidates have to be graduated from one of the following scientific areas: Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Forestry Sciences, Economics, or equivalent Sciences. Other candidates graduated in other fields will be considered if in possession of a relevant experience in the sector.

Selection procedure

The possibility of accession to the course will be made up from a selection by titles that will consider the documents that have been sent by the students and the ones requested for the application.

Tuition fee

A tuition fee of 500 euro is required. The tuition fee covers teaching, assessment, course materials, tutorship, library and computer facilities, study visits. The tuition fee does not cover the costs of accommodation and living costs.

Scholarships

14 Scholarships will be offered on a competitive basis to candidates coming from Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM), Montenegro, Serbia.

Scholarship will include full board accommodation, travel expenses, covering of costs concerning on-line activities, and insurance.

Requested documents for participants aiming to apply for scholarship are as follows:

  • Application Form [Rtf, 3,3 Mb]
  • Copy of the university degree together with the list of the exams issued by the attended University:
    • In case these documents are written in a language different from English or Italian, they have to be translated into English in a simple paper. The translation can be done directly by the candidate.
    • Students who declare to obtain their bachelor degree, or equivalent qualification, by the end of the academic year 2007/2008 can be admitted to the selection process.
  • Detailed curriculum vitae ac studiorum in English language: specify eventual titles: publications (articles, essays, books); academic honors, scholarships/grants.
  • Self-certification of knowledge of English language. Titles like TOEFL, IELTS, CPE are elements of evaluation. (These certifications are not needed for candidates coming from English language universities)
  • Letter of motivation in English language (maximum one page).
  • Letter of presentation written in English or Italian by a university professor or by the director of the related institution

All the documents have to be sent to the related Embassy. Moreover, an electronic copy of the CV, Letter of motivation and  scanned copy of the passport have to be sent to the following email address: wg2@uniadrion.net.

Requested documents for participants not eligible for scholarships are as follows:

  • Copy of the university degree together with the list of the exams issued by the attended University:
    • In case these documents are written in a language different from English or Italian, they have to be translated into English in a simple paper. The translation can be done directly by the candidate.
    • Students who declare to obtain their bachelor degree, or equivalent qualification, by the end of the academic year 2007/2008 can be admitted to the selection process.
  • Detailed curriculum vitae ac studiorum in English language.
  • Letter of motivation in English language (maximum one page).
  • Scanned copy of identity document.
