MEDIA 2010 - Streaming Technologies for Web Broadcasting

Streaming Technologies for broadcasting as part of elaborate online dissemination tools for museums, tourism promotion entities and the near-future online on demand TV broadcasting.
The course is aimed at letting the learner:
- To understand the basics of production and delivery of multimedia over the internet (with special focus on videos)
- To be able to simply set up a multimedia-delivery news blog, based on a popular Content Management System (Wordpress)
- To be able to publish video contents on the internet by using the available tools
The whole course will include hands-on practice sessions to get acquainted with the studied technologies.

2nd Edition – University of Tirana – June, 23-26, 2009
Project work
Throughout the training the participants will be asked to develop a personal “web project” including multimedia materials, to be published online on a web space. This personal project will force them to put into practice all the learned concepts and techniques. The works will be presented and discussed internally to the group at the end of the training (day 4) and will represent a concrete, final demonstration of the learned subjects. More Information
Teachers
The course will be led by Information Technology professionals from the University of Bologna, experts in web publishing solutions and video editing and management tools. More Information
Evaluation
The learners will receive a teachers’ evaluation based on their project work and commitment shown during the course. The learners will be asked to give an evaluation on the trainers and the provided materials in the scope of quality improvement of this training initiative.
Costs and Refunding
Candidates will be refunded after the end of the course. The refunding for the local participants (maximum 9 students from Boznia-Herzegovina) will be € 200. Participants coming from other Uniadrion countries (maximum 4 students) will get € 300 cost refunding. Candidates will support their own costs of traveling and accommodation in Zenica.
