MEDIA 2008 - Streaming Technologies for Web Broadcasting
The course is aimed to Focal Points personnel and UniAdrion Universities staff members and students. Participants will attend 4 days class at the University tele-informatic centre (UTIC) of University of Sarajevo from the 2nd to 5th of December 2008. The focus of the training is on the development of the following skills:
- To understand the basics of production and delivery of multimedia over the internet (with special focus on videos)
- To be able to simply set up a multimedia-delivery news blog, based on a popular Content Management System
- To be able to publish video contents on the internet by using the available tools

Project work
Throughout the training the participants will be asked to develop a personal “web project” including multimedia materials, to be published online on a web space. This personal project will force them to put into practice all the learned concepts and techniques. The works will be presented and discussed internally to the group at the end of the training (day 4) and will represent a concrete, final demonstration of the learned subjects.
Evaluation
The learners will receive a teachers’ evaluation based on their project work and commitment shown during the course. The learners will be asked to give an evaluation on the trainers and the provided materials in the scope of quality improvement of this training initiative.
