UniAdrion is pleased to present an overview of the institutional activities held in Bitola from 3 to 5 December 2025, hosted by the University “St. Kliment Ohridski” Bitola (UKLO).
The mission brought together representatives of UniAdrion member universities and regional partners to reinforce academic cooperation, strengthen governance, and contribute to the development of higher education and research in the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
📌 UniAdrion Governing Board Meeting – Core Institutional Activity
Date: Friday, 5 December 2025
The mission culminated with the UniAdrion Governing Board Meeting, during which strategic priorities for 2025–2026 were discussed, including:
- consolidation of inter-university collaboration;
- enhancement of joint research initiatives;
- strengthening of mobility opportunities within the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region;
- development of coordinated actions in support of innovation and capacity building.
The Governing Board reaffirmed UniAdrion’s commitment to advancing regional cooperation and supporting the integration of academic communities across member countries.
📌 Round Table on Inter-University Cooperation – Strengthening Regional Partnerships
Date: Thursday, 4 December 2025
Venue: Cultural and Information Center – House of the Army
A central moment of the mission was the Round Table on Inter-University Cooperation, which gathered:
- representatives of UniAdrion member universities,
- regional stakeholders,
- institutional partners,
to discuss joint priorities in higher education, research, and innovation within the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
The discussion focused on strategies to reinforce coordinated actions, develop cross-border academic projects, and promote long-term collaboration between institutions.
📌 “UniAdrion Italy” Study Visit – Strengthening Academic Cooperation

Hosted by: University “St. Kliment Ohridski” Bitola (UKLO)
Alongside the institutional meetings, UniAdrion organized the Study Visit “UniAdrion Italy”, an initiative aimed at deepening collaboration with UKLO and offering participants a comprehensive overview of the university’s academic infrastructure and strategic activities.

Conclusion
The three-day mission in Bitola reaffirmed UniAdrion’s strategic commitment to fostering academic cooperation, strengthening institutional governance, and supporting excellence in higher education across the Adriatic-Ionian Region.
Through the Governing Board meeting, the Round Table, and the Study Visit, UniAdrion and UKLO further consolidated their partnership, opening new pathways for collaborative projects, joint research, and enhanced mobility opportunities.
